Club Ministries is the heart of youth development within the Seventh-day Adventist Church, dedicated to nurturing children and young people through Christ-centered growth, meaningful relationships, and hands-on experiences.

Through programs like Adventurers and Pathfinders, Club Ministries supports families and equips young people to build a personal relationship with Jesus Christ while developing character, leadership, and a spirit of service.

By combining faith, adventure, and community engagement, Club Ministries creates a safe, inclusive environment where young people discover their purpose, grow in their gifts, and are empowered to serve God and others.

Adventurer Club Ministry

Mission of the Adventurer Club

The Adventurer Club, a ministry of the Seventh-day Adventist Church under Adventist Youth Ministries, exists to support parents and caregivers in guiding children (Pre-K through 4th grade) into a loving, secure, and growing relationship with Jesus Christ.

Through fun, family-centered, and age-appropriate activities, the Adventurer Club promotes the holistic development of each child—spiritually, physically, mentally, and socially—while nurturing a joyful and positive foundation for Christian living.

The club strengthens parent-child relationships by encouraging families to actively participate as partners in their child’s spiritual journey. It fosters a love for Jesus through hands-on learning, nature exploration, creativity, and service, while building character and life skills that prepare children for continued growth in the Pathfinder Club.

Centered on the belief that “Jesus is the Center,” the Adventurer Club creates a safe, inclusive, and faith-filled environment where children learn, grow, and serve with joy.

  • Life Skills: The program introduces kids to practical skills like teamwork, responsibility, and service.
  • Hands-on Learning: Activities include arts and crafts, outdoor adventures, sports, nature, and more, which help children build confidence and independence.

Pathfinder Club Ministry

Mission of the Pathfinder Club

The Pathfinder Club, a ministry of the Seventh-day Adventist Church under Adventist Youth Ministries, exists to lead young people into a personal and growing relationship with Jesus Christ while developing the whole person—physically, mentally, socially, and spiritually.

Through hands-on learning, outdoor experiences, skill-building, and meaningful community service, the Pathfinder Club nurtures character, leadership, and a lifelong commitment to serving God and humanity. It provides an inclusive, Christ-centered environment where youth are guided by mentors, discover their value in God, and grow through active participation, fellowship, and faith.

What the Pathfinder Club Provides

  • Spiritual Development: Through Bible studies, worship services, and prayer, Pathfinders grow deeper in their relationship with Jesus Christ and understand biblical principles more fully.
  • Leadership Skills: Pathfinders are given opportunities to develop leadership and organizational skills. Older Pathfinders often mentor younger members, and they can take on leadership roles within their clubs.
  • Community Service: One of the key components of the program is service. Pathfinders participate in numerous service projects and outreach programs, helping the less fortunate and sharing God’s love in their communities.
  • Outdoor Adventure & Skills: The club is known for its outdoor activities, which can include camping, hiking, canoeing, rock climbing, survival skills, and other adventurous experiences. These activities teach practical life skills while helping youth connect with nature and grow in their faith.
  • Badges and Honors: Pathfinders can earn badges and honors in a wide range of subjects, such as health, nature, Bible study, arts, music, and more. These badges are awarded as they successfully complete tasks or challenges in different areas, encouraging continuous learning and achievement.
  • Fellowship & Fun: The club provides a sense of community, where Pathfinders make lasting friendships, engage in social events, and participate in fun activities like campouts, hikes, and competitions.

Program Structure and Schedule

  • Regular Meetings: The club typically meets weekly for Bible study, prayer, and various activities related to the awards and skills they are learning.
  • Camps & Retreats: Pathfinders regularly participate in camping trips, retreats, and regional/national Pathfinder events. These gatherings often include activities like hikes, service projects, team-building games, and spiritual activities.
  • Annual Pathfinder Camporee: A large-scale event that often brings together thousands of Pathfinders from around the world for fellowship, spiritual renewal, and adventure.

Key Features of the Pathfinder Club

  • Mentorship and Discipleship: Older youth often serve as leaders or mentors for younger members, fostering spiritual growth and leadership within the club.
  • Focus on Service: Pathfinders are encouraged to serve both locally and globally, making a difference in their communities and beyond through mission trips, charity events, and local outreach.
