Forward Together with Baby Café
The Baby Café USA August 2025 Proclamation is a powerful call to action, celebrating breastfeeding as a vital foundation for healthy families and thriving communities. It highlights breastfeeding as a proven public health intervention while boldly addressing the barriers many families face in accessing skilled, culturally responsive lactation care.
At the heart of this proclamation is Baby Café USA’s nationwide network of 140+ licensed Baby Cafés—safe, welcoming, and inclusive spaces offering free, community-based breastfeeding and chestfeeding support, led by IBCLCs and trained peer supporters. These cafés are more than support sites; they are hubs of connection, empowerment, and equity.
Aligned with World Breastfeeding Week (Aug 1–7) and National Breastfeeding Month, the message urges communities to move Forward Together by promoting local Baby Cafés, sharing stories of impact, hosting events, advocating for sustainable breastfeeding policies, and working toward a future where every family—regardless of background or ZIP code—has access to breastfeeding support.
Together, Baby Café USA invites the nation to prioritize breastfeeding, strengthen communities, and build sustainable systems of care—one family at a time.
