Sabbath School

Sabbath School is the heart of spiritual growth and fellowship within the Seventh-day Adventist Church. It takes place every Sabbath (Saturday) morning and is open to all—members, visitors, children, and adults alike.

Mission

The mission of Sabbath School is to nurture the spiritual growth of members and prepare them for effective Christian witness in their communities and beyond.

Vision

To develop a global community of believers who are deeply rooted in God’s Word, passionate about sharing His love, and actively engaged in service and discipleship.

What Sabbath School Provides

  • Bible Study: Engaging, in-depth study of the Bible using the Adult Bible Study Guide (also known as the Sabbath School quarterly), with focused lessons each week.

  • Fellowship: A time to connect, pray, and grow together as a church family.

  • Mission Awareness: Updates and stories from around the world highlighting the church’s global mission efforts.

  • Children & Youth Programs: Age-appropriate classes for kids, teens, and young adults, filled with music, crafts, lessons, and interactive learning.

  • Spiritual Growth: Encourages personal devotion, community outreach, and active Christian living.

Typical Sabbath School Schedule (times may vary slightly by church)

  • 9:45 AM – Lesson Study Class with Elder Boyd Stephens

  • 10:45 AM – Transition to Divine Worship Service

Adventist community:

"The Sabbath is a symbol of creation, a sign of redemption, and a celebration of God’s eternal rest."

This quote reflects the significance of the Sabbath as a time to reconnect with God, celebrate His work in creation, and experience His rest and peace. It perfectly aligns with the mission of Sabbath School, which is to deepen our relationship with God and each other through study, worship, and fellowship.
